Old Time Recalling!!!

Old Time Recalling!!!
After a long long time, again writing something, whatever you want to say in today’s scenario like diary writing, blog writing, posting, etc. This is the 21st century where fingers tapping on the keyboard of your laptop works more than your pen.
There were times when one WILLFULY wished to pass his time in tranquility. It was not like today’s actions where it is influenced by crunch of time. And it is also being done like a DUTY…
Willfully every member of the family used to gather at evening time, sharing views, listening to others, taking tea together and whatever you want to recall while diving into the sea of golden memories… Mothers used to cook some crunchy munchy pakoras, some chips, etc. to be taken along with the tea… Where has those days gone? Are we moving so fast that we forget to relax? Even, when I am posting this blog to my small world, for this, I also have to especially take out some time out of my busy schedule … Sounds strange?? May not be to GenX but to others who are elder to this GenX, for them this statement is relevant…
Nowadays wherever you see, you will observe people in tension only. That is why, mushrooming of different types of parlor is taking place first in metros and now they are making their way to small cities as well. Relaxation parlors, “OXYGEN” parlors, meditation centers and many others of “other” types will very soon pop-up which we even can’t think of right now at this time… Thus out of tension also people are making some money!
In short, I have mentioned here two scenarios. One that pertains to older days and the other presenting the present situation. Which side you are going to favor? Indeed you will not be able to take any one side. Both of them hold truth in their own sense. But here I am going to take side of older days as I want to present before you the importance of free space. This free space which I am talking of here is related to your MIND which then leads one to get relaxed. Somewhere I feel that today also all of us need that particular SPACE which by itself then leads to “meditation”. Whatever I am mentioning here, I myself have experienced as well.
In today’s small world (no doubt it has become small after the invention of various high-tech technologies), where each one of us is following one and the same path and that is to earn as much as we can… Don’t want to believe me?? Please close your eyes and then ask the same question to yourself, you will get your answer as the self-conscience never speaks false. But nothing is bad in that. Because these days, the competition is so high everywhere that if one will not keep the pace then he can’t survive well. Here the Darwian theory of “Survival of Fittest” keeps much importance…
Without deviating much from the original topic, would like to bring all of you back to main essence of this blog today. Earning, then surviving in the best way possible, and all those points which are around this only keeps importance but in this race why we forget to give ourselves also some space? Why we forget that we are human beings and not machines which is made by the God only to work and work? This is the single reason that why I tried to take your attention to back days in the starting of this piece of writing. Just think that don’t you want to bring back those COOL days sometimes? The answer is YES only because somewhere the sub-conscious mind keeps asking for the same. Thus my dear friends, without boring you much, just trying to say that relaxation equally holds importance in your life and that too in some best way possible where your MIND should be absolutely free from many types of TENSION.. Take care..

  1. First things first, Minakshi. Congratulations on starting your blog. I thoroughly enjoyed reading your post. It brought back memories of old times when we were little kids and had rollicking time with friends and family without a care in the world. Things have changed some for the better some not so good. Every one now has to find his own work-life balance. Keep writing. I will be watching this space.

  2. I would like to congratulate you Minakshi, for having published a blog.

Now coming to the write up, there are two different terms, Living & Surviving, well its up to us whether we are here to live or to survive. In a race to survive we forget to live our lives and you have conveyed this with conviction through this write up.

We Indians for the past several hundred decades have believed in Internal Happiness unlike the west which believes in Material Happiness which is in a way the primary reason for the Financial Crises.

Therefore it is better we Indians remain Indians and believe in what we have been believing for the past several hundred decades by working towards internal happiness which would make our lives much better.

Nice, thought provoking write up Minakshi, keep going. All the best..
